 Travel Precautionary Measures

  1. COVID-19 PCR test on arrival in Egypt:
  2. The test must have been taken within 3 days of flight departure time;
  3. Passengers must be tested with a viral test that could be either an antigen or RT-PCR
  4. We strongly recommend that all guests check the specific test requirements of their airline before traveling.
  5. Fully vaccinated means that you have had a complete course of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before you arrive in Egypt
  6. Travelers who are not fully vaccinated will need to quarantine for 7 days on arrival, then take another PCR test.
  7. Children under the age of 12 have no testing or vaccination requirement.
  8. Foreign visitors arriving at airports in the coastal governorates Red Sea (Hurghada), South Sinai (Sharm El Sheikh), and Marsa Matrouh without a valid test result will undergo testing on arrival (at their own cost), and must quarantine until results are received.
  9. A COVID-19 vaccine certificate issued by an accredited laboratory in the issuing country, containing a QR code.

Airports

  1.  Aircraft are rigorously disinfected before each flight.
  2. Transiting passengers are not required to present PCR test results unless mandated by the final destination.
  3. Only dry meals and canned drinks are served.
  4. Temperatures of all travelers and airport staff are to be checked.
  5. Disinfection of luggage before being placed on the luggage conveyor belt.
